Το πρώτο από τα τέσσερα προγραμματισμένα expansion (aka DLC) They Shall Not Pass έρχεται σήμερα σε όσους έχουν το premium pass για το παιχνίδι! Το DLC εστιάζει στον Γαλλικό στρατό και για τις δύο πρώτες εβδομάδες (από σήμερα) θα είναι διαθέσιμο μόνο στους κατόχους του premium pass, πριν φυσικά περάσει σε όλους τους παίκτες. Στο They Shall Not Pass προστίθενται τέσσερις νέοι χάρτες μαζί με δύο νέα tanks, 1 σταθερό όπλο, η κλάση Trench Raider καθώς και ένα νέο game mode το Frontlines. Εκτός από το σημερινό, η DICE αναπτύσει και άλλα δύο expansions, τα Battlefield 1: In The Name Of The Tsar, Turning Tides και το Apocalypse. Οι προσθήκες περιγράφονται στις παρακάτω γραμμές. Four new maps: Verdun Heights The opening barrage of the Battle of Verdun created massive forest fires in which players will fight for domination. This is an uphill battle towards the massive fortresses of Verdun. A constant grinding struggle where the artillery never stops. Where the forge and “the Devil’s An vil” continues to consume even the bravest combatants. Fort de Vaux The first big engagement inside a fort during World War 1 takes place in the dark underworld of Fort de Vaux. Down in the maze of dark galleries and wet stone corridors, French and Germans fight ferociously with grenades, guns, bayonets, and flamethrowers. Watch your corners! Soissons Take part in one of the biggest tank assaults of World War 1. The French 10th Army moves to take back Soissons using their powerful Saint Chamond tanks. Planes, tanks, and infantry clash in the beautiful French countryside in the early hours of a hot summer day. Only the thunderstorm is louder than the war. Rupture In dire need to capture key bridges across the Aisne river, the French find themselves back into battlefields where poppies grow over a rusty wreck from previous tank battles. It might seem calm but this maze of steel beasts provides an excellent place for those who plan an ambush. As the sun sets over Fontenoy, the battle wakes up. Two new tanks: Char 2C tank Spawn into the Char 2C tank and control an epic new behemoth. Based on the real-world French tank, this super-heavy beast may turn the tide of the entire battle. St. Chamond tank The St. Chamond was the most heavily armed allied tank of the war. Dominate the battlefield with this impressive French construction. One new stationary weapon: Siege Howitzer Similar to a Field Gun, the Siege Howitzer can be operated by an infantry player. This new stationary weapon is operated through indirect aiming/firing in the same vein as mortars and artillery in vehicles One new class: Trench Raider Use the melee skills of the new Elite Class: the Trench Raider. With the brutal Raider Club and impressive grenade arsenal, you will be a terrifying sight. One new game mode: Frontlines Experience a mix of Conquest and Rush as you fight for chained control points in a tug-of-war frontline. Both teams fight for one flag at a time and when this objective is captured the action moves on to the next. Τα παιδιά της DICE ετοιμάζουν ένα νέο DLC για το Battlefield 1 και αυτό θα κυκλοφορήσει τον Μάρτιο του τρέχοντος έτους φέρνοντας ανάμεσα σε άλλα και Γάλλους στρατιώτες του Πρώτου παγκοσμίου πολέμου! Το υλικό που έρχεται με το DLC They Shall Not Pass είναι αξιοσημείωτο γι' αυτό μείνετε εδώ για να το δούμε μαζί. Μαζί με τους "βετεράνους του Γαλλικού στρατού" θα δούμε και το νέο game mode Frontline, μερικά νέα tanks, τη νέα κλάση Trench Raider και το πυροβολικό Siege Howitzer. Ο γαλλικός στρατός προστίθεται στο παιχνίδι για να προσθέσει σε ποικιλία, ενώ δεν έρχεται τυχαία μιας και πολλές μάχες του WW1 εκτυλίχθηκαν σε γαλλικό έδαφος. Η νέα κλάση Trench Raider αποτελείται από έναν σπεσιαλίστα των melee όπλων ενώ έχει και μια "εντυπωσιακή συλλογή χειροβομβίδων". Επίσης, τέσσερις νέοι χάρτες από γαλλικό έδαφος κάνουν την εμφάνισή τους στο παιχνίδι και είναι οι: Verdun Heights, Fort Vaux, Soissons και Rupture εμπλουτίζοντας έτσι το gameplay με γαλλικές περιοχές. Τελευταίο έρχεται και το νέο game mode, Frontline όπου οι παίκτες της μιας ομάδας θα πρέπει να καταλάβουν τα HQs της άλλης ομάδας και μόλις επιτευχθεί αυτό, το παιχνίδι συνεχίζεται ως κλασικό Rush-style όπου οι παίκτες κυνηγούν σημεία που συνδέονται άμεσα στον χάρτη. Η κυκλοφορία του αναμένεται τον Μάρτιο και μπορείτε να το προμηθευτείτε είναι αγοράζοντας το Premium Pass με 49,99€, ή δωρεάν για όσους έχουν αγοράσει την Ultimate Edition - που αυτή τη στιγμή κοστίζει περί τα 97€! Οι άνθρωποι της εταιρίας αναφέρουν πως το πρώτο DLC για το παιχνίδι θα ονομάζεται They Shall Not Pass ενώ οι πληροφορίες για το τι θα περιλαμβάνει είναι για την ώρα ελλιπείς και το μόνο στοιχείο που γνωρίζουμε είναι πως θα ενσωματώσει και Γάλλους στρατιώτες. Το Premium Pass (που είναι το αντίστοιχο Season Pass) θα αποτελείται από μια συλλογή μελλοντικών DLC ενώ το κόστος του θα ανέρχεται στα $49,99. Σημειώνεται ότι το παιχνίδι αναμένεται να κυκλοφορήσει στις 21 Οκτωβρίου στο PC και τις κονσόλες.
