[NEWS_IMG=Video Game Awards 2012: Οι νικητές του διαγωνισμού]http://reviews.hwbox.gr/news/pc_gaming.jpg[/NEWS_IMG]Από το 2003 το Spike.com διοργανώνει το event Spike Video Game Awards, ένα event αποκλειστικά για games και gamers. Φέτος, το VGA είχε την τιμητική του, αφού οι άνθρωποι του Spike γιόρταζαν τα 10ατα γενέθλια του διαγωνισμού και έτσι υπήρχε ένα επετειακό βραβείο, ονομαζόμενο "Best Game of the Decade". Το διαγωνισμό τον παρουσίασε ο Samuel L. Jackson και πραγματοποιήθηκε στo Sony Pictures Studios. Εκτός από τα βραβεία, το VGA είναι το κατάλληλο event για τις εταιρίες, έτσι ώστε να προβάλουν τα νέα τους παιχνίδια. Φέτος, στο VGA 10 είχαμε πρεμιέρες παιχνιδιών, όπως το South Park: The Stick of Truth , BioShock Infinite, Tomb Raider, Halo 4: Spartan Ops, Gears of War: Judgment και άλλα. Οι μάχες στις υποψηφιότητες δεν έλειψαν. Το βραβείο του Game Of The Year, κέρδισε το The Walking Dead: The Game, αφήνοντας πίσω του το AC3, Dishonored, Journey και Mass Effect 3. Καλύτερο RPG αναδείχτηκε το Mass Effect 3, περνώντας τόσο το Diablo III, όσο και το Torchlight II. Μπορεί το Borderlands 2 να μην κατέκτησε το τίτλο του καλύτερου παιχνιδιού, αλλά κέρδισε το Best Shooter και Best Mutli-Player Game Award. Επίσης, ο Dameon Clarke κέρδισε το Best Performance by a Human Male κάνοντας τον Handsome Jack στο Borderlands 2, όπως επίσης το αγαπημένο troll του παιχνιδιού, ο Clap Trap κέρδισε το βραβείο του Character of the Year. Το επετειακό βραβείο των δέκα ετών VGA το κέρδισε το Half Life 2 της Valve. Best Xbox 360 game, με σχετική ευκολία το πήρε το Halo 4, κερδίζοντας επίσης και το βραβείο του Best Graphics.
