Τα specs που θα πρέπει να έχει η συσκευή για να τρέξετε χωρίς κόπο το νέο Daydream VR. Ένα από τα νέα χαρακτηριστικά του Android 7 Nougat, είναι και η υποστήριξη για VR headsets όπως το Daydream VR της Google. Η λειτουργία Daydream που βρίσκεται στη νεότερη έκδοση του OS υποστηρίζεται από πολλές συσκευές της αγοράς όπως τα Nexus 6P και Nexus 5X και φυσικά τα ολόφρεσκα Google Pixel και Pixel XL. Ανάμεσα στις απαιτήσεις η Google δημοσίευσε και τα εξής: Screen size must be between 4.7″ x 6″. 1080p or higher-resolution displays are required, and 1440p or higher-resolutions are strongly recommended. Displays must update at 60 Hz or more in VR mode. Display latency on gray-to-gray, white-to-black, and black-to-white switching must be 3 ms or less. Displays must support s low-persistence mod with 5ms or less persistence (the amount of time a pixel is emitting light). Devices must have at least two physical cores, and one has to be fully dedicated to the foreground app in VR mode. Bluetooth 4.2 OpenGL ES 3.2 Vulkan Hardware Level 0 support required, Vulkan Hardware Level 1 recommended H.264 decoding of at least 3840 x 2160 video at 30 frames per second (40Mbps) is required.
