[NEWS_IMG=Intel Swift Canyon NUC με DDR4 στην φετινή IDF]http://www.hwbox.gr/images/news_images/intel1.jpg[/NEWS_IMG] Η Intel, εκτός από την αποκάλυψη των Skylake για desktop συστήματα, παρουσίασε και μερικές ακόμη παραλλαγές της αρχιτεκτονικής σε άλλα form factors όπως για παράδειγμα NUC. Θέλοντας για άλλη μια φορά να πείσει όσους αναζητούν ένα μικρό σύστημα για τις βασικές και όχι μόνο ανάγκες τους, η Intel αποκάλυψε NUC με επεξεργαστές αρχιτεκτονικής Skylake στα 14nm. Οι Skylake-U με κωδική ονομασία Swift Canyon υποστηρίζουν DDR4 μνήμες dual channel έως 32GB και πλαισιώνονται από το chip γραφικών 9ης γενιάς Intel HD Graphics 520. Το demo NUC που παρουσιάστηκε στο Intel Developer Forum είχε DDR4 SO-DIMM της HyperX και τον M.2 SSD HyperX Predator 240GB για τις ανάγκες αποθήκευσης. Στην πίσω πλευρά του βρίσκουμε σχεδόν κάθε λογής θύρα. Ξεκινώντας από τα αριστερά, βλέπουμε μια mini-DisplayPort 1.2, δύο SuperSpeed USB 3.0, μια gigabit LAN, μια HDMI 1.4a και το jack του μετασχηματιστή. Παράλληλα μπορεί να συνδεθεί ασύρματα μέσω Bluetooth 4 και WiFi ac εφόσον χρειαστεί. Η πρόσοψη, φέρει τον αισθητήρα IR, ένα jack 3.5mm για ακουστικά/ηχεία και δύο ακόμη USB 3.0 με την κίτρινη να προτείνεται για φόρτιση συσκευών καθώς παρέχει υψηλότερο current. Οι συχνότητες λειτουργίας του θα φτάνουν και τα 2,28GHz σε Turbo ενώ τα διαθέσιμα μοντέλα λέγεται ότι θα είναι τα Intel Core i5-6200U και ο μικρότερος Intel Core i3-6100U.
