We have again conflicting data about Zambezi performance ,especially C11.5. Yesterday Donanimhaber posted a video in which they claim they have some (official?) AMD slides that compare Zambezi FX8150 to SB-E @ 3.3Ghz. Zambezi scores 9.46pts @ stock and XX.XX at OCed frequency. What will be the score of retail 3.2Ghz Zambezi in this benchmark? My estimate is as follows: 1) worst case scenario 4.6pts x 3.2/1.6=9.2pts ; 2) best case scenario 4.6x 3.2/1.4=10.51 pts. Now 10.51pts may sound too high since 980x scores 9.2pts ,but remember this slide? Maybe AMD is opting for similar ATI radeon 4xxx/5xxx slide FUD campaign again? . They did hold some event on 31st of August and they did show some performance numbers,but according to latest info from DH,the C11.5 score in the slide deck is not correct and the slide that depicts FX vs SB 2500/2600K is missing the FX model number. If the latest DH slide is true,and 8150 scores massive 9.46pts at stock in C11.5,then 5.8pts is the score or either FX4xxx with 4.4Ghz+ clock or FX8150 with only half active cores. Something is definitely not right here. Looking at recent AMD's report about 32nm Llano yields and supply/demand problem, my guess is that the real issue is that AMD doesn't want to generate unnecessary hype with Zambezi and Interlagos and then fail to meet the demand while at the same time face much lower demand for their previous gen. of products( let's face it ,who will buy 1100% if Zambezi is going to perform more than 60+ % better for 250$ and OC to 5 Ghz on air?That\s right ,nobody).
