gprhellas Posted June 25, 2008 Share Posted June 25, 2008 European MSI Overclocking Contest Αγαπητοί benchers Αποφασίσαμε (ο hipro5 και εγώ ο gprhellas) να ενώσουμε τις πατέντες και δεξιότητες μας λαμβάνοντας μέρος στον διαγωνισμό της MSI μαζί με αναπληρωματικό μέλος τον psilo. Ξεκινώντας να αναφέρω ότι για τις ανάγκες του διαγωνισμού είπαμε να χρησιμοποιήσουμε την 9800GX2 της Nvidia μια κάρτα που στην μονή κατηγορία δείχνει να μην έχει αντίπαλο. Την κατασκευή του POT για την συγκεκριμένη κάρτα την ανέλαβα εγώ χρησιμοποιώντας ένα κομμάτι από μπρούντζο διαστάσεων 5,5cm x 2,5cm x 12cm. Κατά την κατασκευή προέκυψαν αρκετές δυσκολίες που ξεπεράστηκαν όμως όπως μπορείτε να δείτε και στις φωτογραφίες που ακολουθούν. Οι πρώτες δοκιμές έγιναν στο gpr-lab και αφορούν την ετοιμασία της κάρτας (μόντες Vcore-Vmem, μόνωση κάρτας, κατασκευή VGA gpr-POT και οι πρώτες δοκιμές σε LN2) Στη συνέχεια μεταφερόμαστε στο hipro-lab για τις τελευταίες ρυθμίσεις και το τελικό bench. Αναλυτικά το σύστημα (hardware setup) που χρησιμοποιήσαμε είναι το ακόλουθο: M/B: Foxcon BlackOps Retail (Bios G25) N/B – M/B cooling : H2O with stock motherboard N/B Waterblock system (maked by psilos especially for the competition - thanks psilos ) M/B Bed: gpr handmade CPU: C2E QX9650 L739B879 CPU POT Gorillakos G-Pot Rev.1.03 + LN2 / benching at Temp:-160C (http://www.hwbot.org/forum/showpost.php?p=10808&postcount=8) Memory: G.Skill (F3-12800CL7D-2GBHZ) DDR3 (1GB x 2) PSU: hipro-tech 1200Watts PSU Vcore: 1.95V @ real on voltmeter during benching Vnb: 1.65V @BIOS Vdimm: 2.2V @BIOS MEM: 1:2 strap266 CL7-5-5-15 1T, Performance Level=5 OS: Windows XP SP2 Και φυσικά μερικές φωτογραφίες από τις τελικές δοκιμές στο hipro5-lab με έκτακτη συμμετοχή στην φωτογράφηση του hipro5-junior. Any useless thread ran from windows was killed. Explore.exe was also killed. Real time priority. Comments: In the photographs that follow you will see that was used water cooling system with icecubes without radiator. In a basin existed a lot of icecubes and a pump, that was covered perfectly with water. The pump flew water straight in the blocks of processor, graphic card and m/b chipset. Even if the temperatures were enough low for water cooled system, the attribution of system fell very fast because the icecubes was melting fast. So I should put icecubes and change water in each measurement.
