30 Ιανουαρίου 2009, Ο επικεφαλής της Μicrosoft Corp.ʼs Windows Development, επιβεβαίωσε σήμερα ότι τα Windows 7 θα ακολουθήσουν ένα ασυνήθιστο μονοπάτι, αφού μεταφέροντα από την single beta, που δώθηκε στο κοινό τον μήνα Ιανουάριο, στην final version.

"Σε καμία περίπτωση δεν πρόκειται για αναγγελία της ship date, αλλαγή των σχεδίων ή αλλαγή της ήδη ανακοινωθέντας επεξεργασίας", είπε ο Sinofsky στο blog της εταιρείας.

Ο Steve Ballmer, CEO της εταιρείας, για παράδειγμα, υποσχέθηκε στις αρχές του 2007 ότι δεν θα πάρει ποτέ ξανά τόσο χρόνο στην Microsoft να βγάλει νέο λειτουργικό, όπως είχε γίνει με τα Windows XP & Vista. Διοικητικά στελέχη της Microsoft, ανέφεραν κατʼ επανάληψη ότι τα Windows 7 θα κυκλοφορήσουν μέσα σε 3 χρόνια από την κυκλοφορία των Vista, κάτι που ερμηνεύτηκε από πολλούς αναλυτές, αρχές του 2010.

"Είμαστε σε καλό δρόμο και κάνουμε πρόοδο", τόνισε. "Κάνουμε μια quality-based προσέγγιση για την ολοκλήρωση του προϊόντος, και σίγουρα δεν πρόκειται να περιοριστούμε χρονικά από προκαθορισμένες διορίες."

Άντε να δούμε τι θα δούμεεεε....

βασικα τα win επρεπε να βγαινουν στην αγορα οταν η microsoft εφτιαχνε το πρωτο service pack! αλλα σε καθε περιπτωση ολα δειχνουν οτι το νεο λειτουργικο θα κυριαρχισει οτιδηποτε αλλο υπαρχει στην αγορα οποτε το περιμενω πως και πως

Εγώ ενδιαφέρομαι για το αν :

1) θα είναι σταθερά - χωρίς bugs και ενοχλητικά κολλήματα (γίνεται ? ... δύσκολο )

2) θα είναι user friendly

3) θα είναι καλά στο benching, ειδικά στα 2Ds (δεν το βλέπω ...)

το δευτερο με ενοχλει κυριως οπου ομως και λεγεται οτι δινει βαρυτητα πλεον η microsoft. τα vista δεν ηταν user friendly. καθε αλλο. πλεον λεγεται οτι αυτο αλλαζει

οσον αφορα τα bugs νομιζω δεν εχεις κατι να ανησυχεις. ακομα και στη beta το λειτουργικο ειναι σταθεροτατο

στα benches λεγεται πως θα ειναι πιο γρηγορο απο οτι τα vista. υπομονη λοιπον!

Κοίτα πιο γρήγορα από τα Vista είναι επιβεβαιωμένο πως θα είναι, αναφορικά με τα benchmarks πάντα ε ?

Το θέμα είναι να πάρουν λίγο τα πάνω τους και στα 2Ds ... Όλο με XP και Server 2003 θα είμαστε ? Όπως όμως προανέφερα μου φαίνεται σχεδόν απίθανο ...
