Για τη ψύξη της κάρτας επιλέχθηκε η Arctic Cooling και το Accelero Twin Turbo cooler. H Xonar Essence χαρακτηρίζεται από την ASUS ως gamer-grade card. Χρησιμοποιεί το AV200 audio chipset και συνδέεται στη μετρική μέσω PCI-Express x1. Τα κυκλώματα DAC/ADC καλύπτονται από ένα ΕΜΙ shield και λέγεται πως έχει s/n ratio=124 dB. Περιέργως απαιτεί ένα βύσμα Molex για να λειτουργήσει! Τι να το κάνεις το υψηλό FSB αν η μητρική παίζει με υψηλό PL και είναι πιο αργή από το Ρ35... Το συνολικό performance έχει σημασία, μεγάλα FSB προσωπικά δε μου λένε τίποτα (για 24/7)...
