i dont think its a problem of the chipset, it could be related to the spd...
but not all of theese blue kits clock well with cas7 and cas8.
I always said that chips that clock well with cas6 dont necessarily clock well with cas7 and cas8, but nobody believed me
everybody wanted cas6 1750+, to run pl5 with cas6, which is the best performing memory/chipset/fsb combo as far as i know...
and thats what i selected theese kits for.
they should all work with cas6 at 1750-1800, thats what i tested them for
i received a blue kit from xt0m in denmark today who had the same problem some people seem to have here. i tested his kit and it works very well with cas6, but max cas7 stable (orthos) is only 900 with 2.1v and max cas8 stable is only 920 with 1.9v. those are still good speeds, but yeah, its not as good as some other kits. i think most blue kits will run well with cas7 and cas8 as well, i sent out a few of them and besides xt0m and 2-3 people here nobody had problems with cas7 and cas8.
