Αν και το GT780 με την 17" Full HD LED οθόνη, τον THX TruStudioPRO™ ήχο και το ευρύχωρο SteelSeries πληκτρολόγιο με τα πολλά modes φωτισμού, δεν θα σας αφήσει να θυμηθείτε ότι βρίσκεστε εκτός βάσης. Το laptop της MSI έχει διαστάσεις 428x288x55mm και βάρος 3.9kg, τα οποία δικαιολογούν ο Core i7-2630QM, η GeForce GTX560M με τα 1.5GB GDDR5, οι δύο 640GB σκληροί δίσκοι των 7200rpm σε Raid 0, το 7.1 σύστημα ηχείων, ο οδηγός για Blu-ray και τα 16GB RAM επεκτάσιμης μέχρι τα 32GB! Επίσης, μέρος του βάρους αυτού, οφείλεται στο brushed αλουμινένιο σώμα του GT780, το οποίο φιλοξενεί και πολλές εξόδους όπως HDMI, VGA Out, 2 x USB3.0, 3 x USB2.0, 1 x eSATA καθώς και επιπλέον ηλεκτρονικά για WiFi 802.11 b/g/n και για HD web-cam.
