Is for the Asus P5E3 WS Pro, the 790 has many problem whith the Blue Memorys.Probably is the chipset (790) i will examine soon...... First i will end all the tests and after i will change the spd.....to see the diference.. i dont think its a problem of the chipset, it could be related to the spd... but not all of theese blue kits clock well with cas7 and cas8. I always said that chips that clock well with cas6 dont necessarily clock well with cas7 and cas8, but nobody believed me everybody wanted cas6 1750+, to run pl5 with cas6, which is the best performing memory/chipset/fsb combo as far as i know... and thats what i selected theese kits for. they should all work with cas6 at 1750-1800, thats what i tested them for i received a blue kit from xt0m in denmark today who had the same problem some people seem to have here. i tested his kit and it works very well with cas6, but max cas7 stable (orthos) is only 900 with 2.1v and max cas8 stable is only 920 with 1.9v. those are still good speeds, but yeah, its not as good as some other kits. i think most blue kits will run well with cas7 and cas8 as well, i sent out a few of them and besides xt0m and 2-3 people here nobody had problems with cas7 and cas8. gprhellas Posted March 28, 2008 Share Posted March 28, 2008 CAS 6 BIOS settings Strap=266 , PL=5 DDR3 Volt (bios) 1.9V to 2.14V With 1,9V no Boot With 1.96V Boot ok (on bios) but unstable on windows (freeze) With 2.06V boot win ok, RAR 1min error free 408 fsb MAX (410 restart) With 2.1V same as previews With 2.14V seem the best voltage = RAR 1min error free 411 FSB With 2.18V at fsb 417 error - and after restart. CAS 7 BIOS settings The old ones (BLACK) have 485MHz FSB RAR 1min error free (2.16V). The Blue edition has error free (with the same previews setup) at 475 MHz (minus 10MHz from the black ones) I think that all this performance is not the “exceptive” from those memorys. I will returne today to the store (I am not satisfied customer) and I will chanche with an other kits (same Blue ones). How about 1800 mhz ? it depends on the kit, it should be between 2.2 and 2.3v. some kits scale with more than 2.3v, but keep in mind that some kits die at 2.4v I think that all this performance is not the “exceptive” from those memorys. Many guys are telling me that they cannot swap them with the Taiphoon or the techpoweup spd tool...can you provide us with a valid tool to change them? Αν και η ASUS βγάλει κανένα bios της προκοπής για την P5E3 Τοτε πιστεύω οτι θα πάνε ακόμη καλύτερα. Saaya you were right about those sticks beqause they outperforming with cas 6. NIKOSE Posted April 8, 2008 Share Posted April 8, 2008 Ηθελα να σας ενημερωσω για κατι, οσον αφορα το spd που εδωσε ο saaya νωριτερα σε αυτο το thread.. Δοκιμασα να το βαλω στις μπλε cellshock, με το spdtool. Ολα φανηκαν οτι πηγαν καλα, τις φλασαρα τις μνημες μια- μια στο πρωτο slot, ΑΛΛΑ μετα απο το reboot, με τις μνημες στα 900, το πισι ξεκιναει μονο με τα timings στο auto (8-13-13-34 2T !!!!!!!!!!) Για να εχω timings κοντα στο 7-7-7-20 1T οι μνημες πρεπει να ειναι στα 533!!!!! Mπορει παιδια να βοηθησει κανεις?? EDIT...εχω και νεωτερα εντω μεταξυ..... Προσπαθησα με το memset να κατεβασω τους χρονισμους σε 8-9-9-20 (900Hz 2.1v) οσο ημουν στα windows, με αποτελεσμα να τρεμοπαιξει η οθονη, και κατοπιν να κολησει το πισι τελειως. Mετα δεν ακουγε το reset, και του εκοψα τελειως τα ρευματα.. Στο reboot, μετα απο clear cmos, τα windows βγαζουν καποιο corupt file,(δεν το θυμαμαι τωρα ακριβως) και δεν ξεκινανε, ουτε απο την κανονικη εγκατασταση που εχω με αγγλικα ΧΡ, ουτε απο αλλους δυο δισκους που εχουν ο ενας vista kαι ο αλλος ΧΡ ελληνικα!!!!!! Πολυ φοβαμαι οτι οι μνημες καπουτ!!!! Τι λετε κι εσεις???? Τι θα κανουμε ρε παιδια??? Απο το φορητο της γυναικας, σας γραφω τωρα.... Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
